How to record your mechanical lens’s focal length into the metadata
On all Aptus-II models, Leaf has implemented a facility in the back’s settings that allows you to enter your specific lens’ focal length. This great feature makes sure that Leaf users will know which lens was used at the time of capture.
This is particularily useful when using mechanical lenses on view cameras, Hasseblad V-series, Mamiya RZ and so on and when editing your images as mechanical lenses are not capable of communication with advanced Leaf digital backs.
How to do it?
1. On the back’s LCD, press the Camera button and then select the Camera menu;

2. Then Select “Lens” and enter the focal length using the keypad or the QWERTY keyboard

3. Press OK. The Lens’s focal length will now appear in the Camera menu:

When viewing you images in Leaf Capture or Capture One, the focal length will now be included in the EXIF data:

In Capture One you can use the Sort function to arrange your images according to the recorded focal length:
